We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Corrugated Box Machine Operator to join our team and play a vital role in producing high-quality corrugated packaging solutions.
As a Corrugated Box Machine Operator, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of machinery that transforms corrugated paper into a variety of finished products, including cardboard boxes and custom packaging. Your commitment to quality and attention to detail will directly contribute to our success and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
· Operating Machinery: Expertly run and operate a variety of machines integral to the corrugated box production process, including rotary die-cutter, flexo-folding and semi auto folding machines.
· Machine Setup and Adjustments: Precisely set up and adjust machinery according to specific product dimensions and requirements, ensuring optimal machine performance and adherence to quality standards.
· Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Continuously monitor machine operations to proactively identify potential issues, malfunctions, or inconsistencies, and perform basic troubleshooting to maintain efficient production flow.
· Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of finished corrugated products to ensure they meet stringent quality standards, dimensional accuracy, and customer specifications.
· Maintenance: Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks on assigned machinery, including cleaning, lubricating, and assisting with basic parts replacement to ensure optimal equipment longevity and performance.
· Material Handling: Safely and efficiently load and unload materials, such as large paperboard sheets and other necessary components, into the processing machines.
· Safety: Strictly adhere to all established safety procedures, guidelines, and regulations while operating machinery and working within the manufacturing facility to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
· Maintain accurate production records and communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members regarding production progress and any operational issues.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Technical Skills: Demonstrated understanding of industrial machine operation, basic mechanical troubleshooting techniques, and routine maintenance procedures.
· Physical Stamina: Possess the physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift materials (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods throughout the workday.
· Attention to Detail: Exhibit a keen ability to meticulously observe and identify even minor discrepancies or imperfections in product quality and machine operation.
· Problem-Solving Skills: Possess the ability to analyze and effectively resolve minor operational issues that may arise during machine operation to minimize downtime.
· Communication Skills: Demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with supervisors, fellow machine operators, and other team members.
· Experience: Previous experience operating machinery in a corrugated manufacturing environment or other related industrial settings is highly preferred.
· Education: A high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is typically required.

Direct Support Professional
Achieve of Central Virginia provides support to individuals to acquire, retain, or improve skills of self-help, socialization, community integration, career planning, and adaptation via opportunities for peer interactions, community integration, and enhancement of social networks.
The DSP is responsible for providing, assistance, supports and encouragement for the clients participating in program services. This includes cooperating and working together with other staff to ensure outcomes are being completed according to the client’s Individual Service Plan and documented that clients are receiving the highest quality service. This position also requires driving agency vehicles periodically.
Responsibilities:
- Provides assistance and support to clients in accordance to Individual Service Plans
- Possess knowledge and compliance with HCBS settings requirements including individual rights and expectations
- Assists clients in community while on outings
- Completes all required documentation for each client served
- Assists in the development of Individual Service Plans and quarterly reviews
- Assists with evaluations of client’s progress towards goals
- Assists in maintaining the service area in a safe, clean and orderly condition
- Assists in supervising self-administration of consumer’s medications, if trained
- Driving the agency vehicle to transport clients to and from community activities
- Assists in maintaining the service is up to licensure regulations
- Attends training as requested by supervisor
- Performs other duties as required.
Education/Certification Requirements
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
Certification/License:
- Valid Driver’s License
- CPR Certification
- First Aid / CPR Certification
- Therapeutic Option
- Medication Certification (Preferred)
- Strong proficiency in using office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to convey ideas clearly and professionally.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $33,500 – $38,500.00 per year
